Our Story
Chogoria Boys’ High School dates back in the 1962 when it started as a community secondary school with only 30 students and a couple of teachers seconded from the then Chogoria Boarding intermediate school.
The school received a lot of support from legislation council Assembly (LEGCO) Representative Central province of Kenya. – Hon.Mate,mobilized the Meru community to raise initial funds to construct the school where the Kenyan government took the school in the same year.
The first school’s BOM chairperson was Dr. J Wilkson and Mr E Mpungu as the then principal.
The school has expanded over the years from a single stream and lately to eight stream with a population of 1700 students.
Education at Chogoria Boys' is about self confidence, challenge and enjoyment. It teaches the importance of constructive questioning and a sense of responsibility with compassion, confidence and creativity.
